The playful design of the Pierced Stool is an homage to queer celebration, designed by Gregor Jahner. Symbolism, body ornaments, and camp converge in this object, creating a materialized statement of protest and enjoyment – or simply something to play nervously with. The design questions both functionalism and ornamentation while alluding to the politics of queerness.
