Sculptural candelabra, designed by Teresa Fernández-Pello both as a functional object and an allegorical item. Carefully handcrafted out of waste material such as broken electronic devices and discarded metal parts, the piece is an assemblage of high-tech components together with the material waste that is produced during its fabrication. Representing such a contradictory reality, this candelabra lights up as a reminder that, sometimes, the most essential reason for a flame to burn can be, precisely, the existence of darkness.
